Artist biography
Wyton-Mills studied art as her main subject as part of her Bachelor of Education degree (1989-1993) under the tutelage of David Carpanini (RBA), and went on to a career in teaching, specialising in the Early Years. This has an impact in how she values learning through play and exploring materials. She recently helped to revive a local life drawing group, and has been key in relocating it to a new venue in Solihull College, in sourcing models and leading sessions.
Wyton-Mills has been successful in being selected for open call exhibitions both regional and national (a full list is available on her website). She recently presented a body of work as part of The Artist Exhibition, sponsored by The Artist & Leisure Painter magazine (4th October-16th November 2025), Patchings Art Centre, Nottingham.

Something about the facial expression and weariness intrigued me, as did the shapes created by the cattle behind him and how he is holding the goat. His direct gaze is challenging the viewer. What is to become of the goat or him? The title, 'Of sheep and goats' is a parable from the bible about seperating the good and bad, but we are complex creatures so who can say?
