About the artwork
Transuranic elements - banner
Fabric banner with digital collage, all images not generated by Ai
Consisting of 1 film – 83 min long / 1 banner 10 meters tall / various sculptural elements. For this exhibition only the banner is available but the film can be found only via my website and Vimeo channels.
The work was commissioned by The New Art Gallery Walsall with support from Art Fund / Arts Council England / Indus Valley School of art and architecture Karachi where a halfway exhibition happened.
Considering Trans / disabled joy at a time where eugenics is on the rise is a difficult task, the work was mapped onto the lunar cycle connecting trans existence with Nature. The natural world is in constant flux and change adapting and evolving, things are not as fixed, concreate, frankly unnatural as we are made to think.
